To put it quite simply, this new service by Apple is an add on to all new and persisting Apple users. This way anyone grabbing a new Apple iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, Mac or iPod touch can make use of this newly started free service. But of course, after a month of free period usage, the recurring price in INR is Rs. 99 a month. This is quite nominal with the sheer amount of tv content you get. What’s even better is that a single Apple TV+ subscription can be shared and viewed up to 6 family members.

As per reports by CNET, this service of Apple TV is disposed in about 100 different countries. Not only this, the programs and content on it is dubbed and made into easily readable subtitles for about 40 different languages.

To name a few, some Tv shows that are given to people via this service include, “See”, “The Elephant Queen”, “Helpsters”, “For all Mankind”, “Ghostwriter” and some few popular ones too that contribute to it’s 8 pieces list. With Rs. 99 a month this list of 8 TV content watch is a bit cruel. But nonetheless, Apple TV is a tough competitor to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar which are widely in use by the Indian audience.

This Apple TV service was long due and is cheaper if compared to it’s US subscription where it is launching at Rs. 358 equivalent $4.99 as compared to its Indian launch at $1.38.

“Our mission for Apple TV Plus is to bring you the best orignal stores from the most creative minds in television and film,” said CEO of Apple Tim Cook during the launch event.
