AppsFlyer, the leading mobile attribution and marketing data analytics company whose mission is to make the marketing industry more measureable, today announced it has raised an additional $56 million in Series C financing, bringing its total funding to $84 million. Having grown revenues by 500% and staff from 40 to 240 people across 12 global offices in two years, the company will invest in the enhancement of its products to help even more marketers measure every engagement with their target audiences. The round was led by new investors Qumra Capital, as well as Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing (PCI), Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP) and Pitango Growth. Qumra Capital partner Boaz Dinte has joined AppsFlyer’s board of directors, with Goldman Sachs PCI joining as observers.
Bengaluru-based online healthcare platform Practo has raised $55 Mn Series D funding in a round led by Tencent. New investors ru-Net, Recruit Holdings’ RSI fund and Thrive Capital have participated in this round along with existing investors Sequoia Capital, Matrix Partners, Capital G (formerly Google Capital), Altimeter Capital & Sofina.
Practo plans to use the funds raised to build an integrated healthcare platform and invest further in its international operations.
Wipro chairman Azim Premji’s family office, PremjiInvest has reportedly invested $25 Mn in Bengaluru-based food company, IDFresh Foods. Premji Invest has acquired a 25% stake in the company, valuing it at over $100 million.
Two years ago, venture capital firm Helion Ventures had picked up a similar stake in the company for Rs 35 crore.
Zeotap has raised about $12.7 Mn Series B funding. This brings the company’s total funding to about $21.2 Mn. New Science Ventures (NSV), a New York-based venture fund with $500 Mn under management, and HERE, a leading global provider of mapping and location-based services backed by German automotive companies Audi, BMW, and Daimler participated in this round. Existing investors Capnamic Ventures and Iris Capital (backed by Publicis and Orange Telecom) also contributed to the new round.
Zolo has raised $5mn in Series A funding led by existing investor Nexus Venture Partners. The funding round also includes venture debt from Innoven Capital. Zolo wants to create a new class of managed accommodations and plans to use the capital raised to grow aggressively to reach from 5000 locked-in beds to over 12000 beds and expand to Chennai and NCR by the end of this year.
Tinystep, a rapidly growing parenting social network has received funding from ecommerce giant, Flipkart. Tinystep is a promising startup that works in the sphere of pregnancy and parenting. With the funding, the startup aspires to advance their product, better the user experience and expand on their services.
Flipkart instilled its faith in Tinystep with a $2 million funding as they saw potential in Tinystep’s product and traction.
Mumbai-based online marketplace for wedding venues and vendors, WeddingZ.in, has raised nearly $1 million (Rs 6.8 crore) from Singularity Ventures. Existing investor Sixth Sense Ventures also participated in the round. In February last year, Weddingz.in, run by Mumbai-based L-Fast Brands Pvt Ltd, had raised an undisclosed amount in pre-Series A funding from consumer-centric venture fund Sixth Sense Ventures.
Premium online tea brand, Vahdam Teas has raised $650,000 from a clutch of eminent angel investors including Kanwaljit Singh’s Fireside Ventures, Mumbai Angels, Singapore Angel Network, Ananda Ladsariya, Ajay Pandey.
The company which is 100% online, as of today, has already shipped garden fresh Darjeeling and other teas to more than 76 countries and will use the funds to focus on marketing, product development and to open a warehouse in it’s top market, USA.
Cybersecurity start-up Kratikal Tech Pvt. Ltd. on Monday said it has raised $500K in seed funding from former director of Microsoft India Praveen Dubey, along with Amajit Gupta, former managing director Juniper Networks India Pvt. Ltd. and J.P. Bhatt, chief executive of ImpactQA. The company was founded in 2013 by five alumni of National Institute of Technology, Allahabad—Pavan Kushwaha, Paratosh Bansal, Dip Jung Thapa, Prashant Pandey and Ankit Singh—after Kushwaha’s email account was hacked.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a member of the Rajya Sabha and vice-chairman of the NDA in Kerala, is one of the largest investors and a director in journalist Arnab Goswami’s upcoming media venture. The venture, named Republic, applied for uplinking and downlinking of a news channel in late November.
Republic will be part of a company called ARG Outlier Media Private Limited.

Deepak Nathani, Cybage Software co-founder, has picked up a 25% stake in visual and interactive communications firm Ethosh.
B2B marketplace for lifecycle management of commercial vehicle tyres Tyre Express has raised an undisclosed amount in Seed funding via IvyCamp.
Singapore-headquartered and Delhi-based data analytics firm Connaizen has raised an undisclosed amount in pre-seed funding from Umang Moondra, former managing director of Citigroup, Singapore.
Ezytruk Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru based logistics and truck aggregator startup, has raised $147,000 (approx Rs 1 crore) funding from Dubai based investors Ajith Nair and Anish K.
Tamil Nadu-based foodtech startup NativeSpecial has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian Angel Network, and Madurai-based Native Angels Network.
Fitness startup Fitnapp has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from real estate conglomerate SD Group.
Gurugram-based MSD telematic Pvt.Ltd, a telematics solutions firm, has acquired Heuristics Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. in an all cash deal.
Online-to-Offline B2B platform for handicrafts Direct Create has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund (RVCF).
