Give us a snapshot of your professional journey till now.
I started my career after completing my B.Tech followed by MBA in Marketing & International Business from XLRI Jamshedpur. Got an opportunity to work with India’s leading companies that were MESTO and TATA. Those eight years of experience was the initial boost, which enabled me to develop a versatile personality in terms of working. The flexible work culture helped me to understand the art of multi-tasking, which ultimately made me capable of doing things that seemed impossible.
When & how did the entrepreneurial bug bite you?
I’m going to be very honest with this; the entrepreneurial feeling was never inbuilt in myself. I was very much involved working with these private firms until my brother Lokendra shared the idea of starting up our digital marketing company. Slowly I realized the qualities, which I could never showcase at those firms, was possible only at a platform where things were of own. This gave me a strong push and one after the other had been coming up with new startups and unique innovation with each.
What were the early days at Mysiponline like?
We are still a 7-months-old startup, so the days are tough as of now. To be specific not in terms of finances but concerning execution. It always takes a little time to make that presence in the market and especially with a small team size and limited resources in hand it’s a great challenge to grow with profits!
Can you please describe what a typical day at office is like?
I’m a very focused person yet quite chilled at work. I never build up pressure or make hassle to get the things done at a single stretch. My morning starts with a quick meeting while the team discuses the agenda for the day; we make sure to achieve the target at the same day and don’t overlap our work for the upcoming day.
Can you tell us about the technology stack used at Mysiponline?
What we are trying to address with our startup MySipOnline was the biggest issue of Data Management. The fintech industry is complex there are tons and tons of data you need to manage in a single go which every startup who enters is not able to keep up to. Since we had our digital expertise in hand by establishing Cognus Technology for the past eight years, I was well aware to build such a portal that would encompass the entire mutual fund industry in a single
platform. It is a core PHP website with a strong CMS inbuilt for easy modification of data in single clicks.
Is there any technology that you’re personally betting on to help you scale up?
Our vast knowledge and expertise are with technology, and that’s how we are making a difference in the industry unlike others we don’t require to out source our technical work, which ultimately saves our time, and updations are possible in a single go. Our customized portfolio is technically sound which helps each customer to make desired investment by making multiple selections from a varied range of choices to match their financial goals.
How are you using Business Intelligence and analytics at your company?
One of Google’s strongest and most beneficial tool is the GA i.e. Google Analytics this helps us to trace the website performance also the visitors traction, we keep a close look on our bounce rate, and accordingly we maintain a change in our strategy to ensure a healthy balance of the website. We are also using RankRanger, which is a fantastic software to analyze the reach and organic growth on each social media platform.
How else does technology help your company stand apart from its rivals?
One of our key USP’s is the paperless transaction and unlike the existing players in the same industry, we made sure we made it paperless for which the developers worked on a heavy technical site to integrate a strong CMS panel which could allow collection of documents till receiving digital signatures all under a single roof.
What has been the biggest technical challenge you’ve faced while running Mysiponline?
It was a little complex initially to automate the data updations in terms of the past performance and daily performance of each mutual funds based on their diversification. We didn’t want to maintain any work to be done manually this was the most challenging task, which was going 100% automated with limited resources but anyhow our hard work & an expert team managed to pull it off!
What are some of the attributes you look out for in prospective technology employees?
People who are looking to explore and bring some innovation in technology are the ones who fascinate me! A degree never matter’s what counts is the potential you have to learn more than you know.
How do you keep up to date with the latest happenings in the technology world?
Even though running a startup never gives you time for anything else but I’m very active on LinkedIn, and this platform is currently overloaded with the latest technology updates and users get a taste of all from time to time. Additionally I’m involved with all the corporate events and gatherings at various locations.
What gets you excited about coming to work every day?
My venture! And the best part is the team who is keeping my vision in their eyes to reach that target we have set! They are my true motivation that excites me to come to work every day.
