Putting an end to months of speculation, ex-Hungama Head of Marketing, Aalaap Roy, today announced that he has joined consumer insights and start-up evangelist NDRConsult as a Director and CEO. In this position, he will further develop NDRConsult’s business in line with the company’s long-term growth approach of building innovative consumer insights driven strategies for start-ups and businesses.
Commenting on the speculation and development, Aalaap said: “Having worked with Unilever, USL and Hungama in varied positions, I had a strong desire to take the entrepreneurial plunge and explore new horizons. Thus, when the promoters of NDRConsult, who have also been close friends for many years, told me about their Consumer Insights driven start-up and business consultancy model, I really had no hesitation to take the plunge.”
The brainchild of Nikhil Garth D’Rozario, NDRConsult is a boutique marketing and start-up offering which provides the perfect bridge between business objectives, rapidly changing consumer realities and call-to-market strategies for businesses in the new age.
With Aalaap’s appointment, NDRConsult begins a new chapter of growth and development that will increase its level of engagement with consumers and clients in various sectors.
Aalaap Roy started his career with Unilever in 2008 where he was a part of the HUL marketing team for the Personal Wash and House Hold Care categories. He later went on to join United Spirits Limited- A Diageo Company in 2012 as a Sr. Brand Manager and worked on world’s 2nd largest Alco-Beverage Brand by Value ‘McDowell’s No.1’. In 2015, Aalaap climbed the ladder of success and became the Head of Marketing for Hungama — South Asia’s Largest Digital Media and Entertainment Company, for its On- Demand Music and Video Streaming services.
