Xiaomi, world’s third largest smartphone maker and MobiKwik, the largest mobile payments company in India with over 32 million users and a network of 100000 merchants today announced One Touch Recharge and Bill Papayments. Launched with Xiaomi MIUI8, the feature allows users to pay bills and recharge their phones or DTH connections from within the messaging application. When a user receives a message from their telecom or DTH operator regarding low balance or bill payment, just below the same they will have a ‘recharge now’ button for instant recharge through MobiKwik.

MobiKwik’s partnership with Xiaomi enables the users to recharge right from the reminders that they get from the operators. Existing Mi users can make use of the feature when they upgrade to MIUI 8. The “Recharge” call to action embedded right next to the SMS and allows users to complete the recharge without having to navigate or install different apps. It also enables users to pay their bills on time, who generally forget the due dates and find the whole exercise cumbersome. Customers can also sync the MobiKwik account with the Mi Account thereby achieving “One Click Recharge” which again is a great customer experience.

With this initiative, we take a leap in giving users a seamless recharge and payments experience. This pioneering association with Xiaomi is a step towards Internet businesses collaborating to create the best experiences for the user.”- Mrinal Sinha, Chief Operating Officer, MobiKwik said.

Also new users will get a special 50 percent cashback on their first Mobikwik recharge and existing Mobikwik customers will get a 10 percent cashback on their first recharge every month.
