There’s good news for all those working people out there who usually wait for the weekends to do their entire week laundry. In this busy 9-5 routine, we’re hardly able to squeeze in time to enjoy our lives, leave alone doing laundry. But, that huge heap of clothes lying in the laundry bag at the end of the week even makes the weekend look like a dreadful scenario. Helping these working professionals enjoy their weekends and wear fresh piece of clothing everyday, is a New Delhi-based startup called TOOLER.
The App based startup provides services of Laundry, Dry Cleaning and Home Maintenance in the capital and NCR area – Gurgaon and Noida. Functioning on a On-Demand Services model, the App can be termed as an ‘Uber for Handymen’ to book Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Laundry and Dry Cleaning.
In order to distinguish itself from the sea of such services already available in the market, the startup guarantee its services within 120 minutes and Laundry within 36 hours. Their aim is to free the working professionals from the hassle and tension that comes in from looking and booking reliable and skilled handymen and laundry services.TOOLER is the result of hard work of four brilliant minds, Himanshu Arora, Vishal Gupta, Sukanth Srivastav and Bhaskar Singh. Himanshu Arora is an Ex-BITS Pilani and has formerly worked with Paytm; Vishal Gupta is an expert in making android apps; Sukanth Srivastav is an Ex-VITian and has formerly worked with Paytm on their chief product – Paytm Wallet and Bhaskar Singh has an experience of over 7 years in the field of management with names like Snapdeal and Paytm.
Currently available at Google playstore, the App has been downloaded by 1000+ users and is known for its Laundry services by many working professionals and students.
Tooler is currently in talks with several investors regarding funding. Their future plans include extending its services to more categories like Bakery, Water and Appliance Repairs. It also plans to expand to other cities in days to come.
Tooler faces competition with Housejoy, Qyk, LocalOye and Zimmber, among others. Housejoy had raised $4 million in June this year while Bengaluru-based Qyk has secured $1 million last month in seed funding. Mumbai-based Zimmber on other hand has so far raised $2.4 million in two separate rounds.
The online home services startup is estimated tobe around USD 100 billion in size.
