Bangalore-based online courier service startup Parcelled has raised strategic funding from logistics firm Delhivery and Traxcn Labs. The amount of funding has not been disclosed.
Parcelled is an online courier service which provides the easiest way to send couriers across the world from your home. It provides courier services by letting users schedule a pick-up within 30 minutes for delivery anywhere globally. It also take care of packaging customization and paperwork.
Founded just six months back by Xitij Kothi, Nikhil Bansal, Rikin Kachhia, Prateek Bhandari and Abhishek Srivastava, Parcelled would utilise the fresh funds received to strengthen its technology and back-end infrastructure. The company will also use the funds to expand services to at least eight cities over the next six months.
“Shipping can be a long and inconvenient processes, which involves looking for packaging, going to a local courier shop or a post office to drop of stuff and then dealing with various conditions like insurance, item restrictions etc,” said 26-year-old Kothi, an IIT- Mumbai graduate who had earlier worked in the logistics division of Flipkart.
Parcelled is second startup investment by Tracxn Labs – a startup incubator by data analytics firm Tracxn, which had recently raised $10 million from Flipkart founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal. Earlier, Tracxn had invested in Bengaluru-based marketplace for beauty services Glow Prime Technologies Pvt Ltd, which operates under the brand name StayGlad.
