HealthifyMe, a mobile fitness and weight loss app has announced their second round of funding from angel investors including Gopal Srinivasan (TVS Capital), Sashi Reddi (AppLabs), Amit Gupta (InMobi), Pallav Nadhani (FusionCharts) and Dr Roopa Nath, among others.

Just a month back, HealthifyMe got undisclosed amount of investment from Micromax Informatics.

The Bengaluru-based startup said it is also establishing its global headquarter in Singapore. The company intends to use the funds for growth and is planning to hire more than 1,000 nutritionists and fitness trainers.

With this fresh funding, HealthifyMe also plans to introduce various low cost plans among its other offerings. These will include in-app real-time access to nutritionists or trainers or yoga instructors who work digitally with the user on their personal fitness and weight loss objectives.

Tushar Vashist , CEO and co-founder, HealthifyMe said, “With this funding, we are going to democratise healthy living – providing fitness and weight loss at a fraction of market value, while simultaneously providing employment to hundreds of nutritionists and trainers.”

Healthifyme faces competition from Mumbai-based Alivemeter and Hyderabad’s TrueWeight, among others. Last month, Trueweight had raised funding From Kalaari Capital.
