TaxiForSure co-founder Aprameya Radhakrishna has invested an undisclosed amount in Mumbai-based mobile beauty and wellness platform Vyomo. Radhakrishna’s move comes less than a month after his last day at TaxiForSure, the company he and Raghunandan G sold to rival Ola for $200 million (about Rs 1,280 crore).
Notably, Vyomo has also been funded by cricketer-celebrity Yuvaraj Singh’s investment fund YouWeCan Ventures. In April this year, YouWeCan Ventures had put in an undisclosed amount as seed funding in Vyomo.
Vyomo is a Mobile Market place for Beauty and Wellness. A mobile Artificial Intelligence Platform that will simplify the way beauty & wellness services are requested, offered and rendered.
Vyomo works as an aggregator of salons, spas and stylists on its ecommerce platform in a model similar to that of Uber and Ola. Within the first four weeks of operations, Vyomo has brought 1,500 salons and spas on board.
Founded in 2014 by Abhinav Khare and Poonam Marwah, Vyomo plans to enlist about 5,000 spas and saloons in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Dubai, and plans to bring more than one million stylists on the platform by 2018.
For Beauty Salons and Spas, we are a SAAS based end to end salon management software that grows and simplifies their business by providing increased traffic, CRM, ERP, EPOS, Performance Management, Booking Management and Online Presence.
“Having Aprameya as our investor and a member of advisory board is a great validation for our mobile-only strategy. He will be involved very closely in advising me on the strategy, business model and leadership hiring decisions” said Abhinav, Founder & CEO of Vyom.
