Here's 16 Indian Startups Selected For Google Launchpad Program

Search giant Google is flagging off the second edition of its popular mentoring programme —  Google Launchpad Week starting from Monday this week.

Google has identified 16 Indian startups for the five-day mentoring programme, focused on areas like product strategy, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI), technology, marketing, business development and presentation skills. The idea is to achieve rapid progress in a short time through great talks, focused efforts and 1:1 mentoring sessions with top Google internal and external mentors.

This is the second Launchpad Week to be helding up in Bengaluru this year as part of its annual four-part series. Launchpad’s weeklong events are held on a regular basis in locations including Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, Singapore and London. Last August, Launchpad Week debuted in Bengaluru, inducting 20 local startups to the programme.

This time, the mentoring programme is opened to startups outside Bengaluru — three each from Mumbai, National Capital Region (NCR) and one from Hyderabad — to support entrepreneurial diversity.

Here are 16 Indian startups chosen for Google Launchpad program:

In addition, the startup promise deliveries within 72 hours, offer flexibility to swap furniture every year to give your home a fresh new look.

  3. GrocShop
    Location – Mumbai

    ObiNo is a virtual Weight Loss Coach on your Mobile. Currently available as a freemium android app, ObiNo is e-coaching 2,600+ Users & unlike the usual calorie-counting apps, behaves like a real-life Coach providing personalised AI-based Recommendations & Reminders.

  6. ParkingRhino
    Location – Bangalore

    ParkingRhino, a geo navigation map based search for parking space in India. An online marketplace where people can search, book and rent parking space.
  7. Quinto
    Location – Pune

    Quinto is a personalised food recommendation engine that uses a person’s individual taste profile to help in quicker eating out decisions and explore new food & restaurants.

  8. SeekSherpa
    Location – New Delhi

    SeekSherpa is a platform where travellers and locals connect over local tours and insights. Cool locals (Sherpas) can setup micro tours in a city that travellers and curious residents can purchase tickets to in order to see the sights and sounds of a city from the eyes of a local.

    SnapShopr is a deep learning startup founded by a team with proven experience in artificial intelligence, data science and robotics.It’s current focus is to simplify fashion search on mobile with its visual search technology.

    Talkative Parents is a revolutionary communication application dedicated solely to the parents of school going kids. It is packed with features that encourages interaction between parents and provides them with a large array of connected beneficial services.
  11. Townista
    Location – Bangalore

    Townista help users to discover and book interesting events and places in the city based on their social circle, location, interests and time of day.

  12. UrbanPiper
    Location – Bangalore

  13. Vidgyor
    Location – Bangalore

    Broadcasters are unable to monetize live TV streams delivered over internet effectively as these live streams contain the same TV advts. Aired on broadcast TV and advertiser has not paid for showing them online. More users are watching and engaging with the live TV streams, especially on their smart phones, tablets through mobile apps. However, Advertisers are not able to reach these premium audience.

    Vidgyor enables broadcasters to monetize live TV streams by automatically replacing TV advts. with different set of targeted video ads from Adserver. These video ads can be targeted per user basis and can deliver completely personalized ad viewing experience.

  14. Wegilant
    Location – Mumbai

    Wegilant’s flagship mobile app ‘Appvigil’ is an Integrable Mobile Device Protection Suite which help enterprises produce or use secure android applications. Appvigil is based on Patent pending technology to asses mobile application in fully automated way.
