Snapdeal which claims to be India’s largest online marketplace recently announced that it has successfully achieved the milestone of 1000 sellers on its online platform, getting annual sales of over 1 crore.

Along with this achievement announcement, the company also announced a great opportunity for businesses which wanted to sell their products online. These businesses can now list their products on and start selling them to over 25 million Snapdeal members across over 5000 towns and cities that too within 4 hours.

This latest move by Snapdeal aims at enhancing the seller experience on its online platform. The company has also put in great efforts in enhancing its technology and processes so as to minimize the time which is taken to onboard a seller. It now just takes 4 hours for a seller to start selling his or her products on This latest initiative by the company has been launched keeping in mind its goal of increasing its current 30,000 + seller base to 100,000 sellers in the next 12 months.

Enabling and empowering SMBs in India is one of the main focuses of Snapdeal. The Indian retail sector is awfully fragmented and unorganized and as a result of it small and medium sized businesses are not able to sell their products nationally. These small and medium businesses also don’t have the necessary resources and know-how. Snapdeal through its online marketplace is aiming at providing an alternate and cost efficient sales channel to these businesses that will give them the liberty to sell their products nationally while supplying locally. Snapdeal with its latest move will able to make the process and experience of selling products online even more easy and seamless.
