Google has recently implemented a lot of minor changes related to Gmail, the Google search look and the secured search with SSL. It`s change background feature was in the air for quite a while but there was no official news.
Google has finally announced the launched of its much-hyped change background feature. Yes, at the bottom left of the Google homepage, you can see an option of change background image. However, you need to be signed in to Google.
To start with, the feature will be rolled out in U.S and to the other parts of the world a few days later.
Currently, if you click at the change background link, you will get a message stating,
Sorry, the image picker is unavailable. Check back soon.
But don’t get worried by that as it is coming very soon.
With change background feature, you are no longer confined to Google`s white homepage, you can choose photo from your PC`s, Picasa Web Album or from a public gallery which Picasa owns. Changing the background image is a not a compulsion and you can obviously keep the default Google page.
Google has taken this step to add colour and fun to your searching experience, which allows you to play with the background just like the way you do to your personal laptops or cellphones.
Google would love to see your personal homepage as it asks its users to tweet pictures with the hashtag #myGooglepage. Again, it is not a compulsion. In case, you want to share your homepage you can tweet it.
