As per Google India blog, there were more than 1 Trillion i.e. – 1,000,000,000,000 playbacks on YouTube this year which makes about 140 views for every person on the earth.

In India, where people mostly watch bollywood related videos hence bollywood ruled the charts on YouTube in year 2011. Be it Kolavari Di or the KBC Video of 20th Oct. episode Indians enjoyed them all on Youtube. However some new talented people has also jumped in, such as Shraddha Sharma, who is now a popular teen sensation and became First YouTube Born Teen Sensation of India often coined as India’s own Justin Bieber. People across the world can capture any of their life moments from 24 hours of 24th of July 2010 and can upload it to the Life in a Day channel any time before July 31 and if that footage make it to final feature film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in January 2010, the 20 shortlisted footage uploaders will credit of Co-Director of that World Largest user generated feature film.

This unique user generated documentary feature film is produced by Gladiator and Black Hawk Down producer Ridley Scott and directed by Scottish director Kevin Macdonald. The aim of director thourgh this move is to take a snap-shot of life on earth during one 24-hour time. “Media reports said the Bahawalpur bench of the Lahore High Court yesterday directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to immediately block nine websites, including Google, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Bing and Amazon, for publishing and promoting sacrilegious and blasphemous material. “

“Justice Mazher Iqbal Sidhu issued the order while hearing a petition filed by a man named Muhammad Sidiq who claimed these websites were publishing sacrilegious material. ”

“Aslam Dhakkar, head of a local bar association, was quoted as saying that the court had given a historic decision. He said the legal fraternity in Bahawalpur would observe a strike today to protest the publication of blasphemous material by the websites.”

It is never ever good to hamper the religious beliefs of People of any community in the World. But blocking the sites which are great sources of information and are the integral part of the web, is also not a permanent solution. There should be some alternative way needed to resolve this serious issue.

The feature is being implemented with the partnership of YouTube with the University of California at Graduate School of Journalism in Berkeley. Their main focuss will be to track the breaking news. And yes, freshness will be given priority.
