For the first time outside US, Yahoo announces its Yahoo Buzz service for India with India related content and news. Yahoo buzz is news and stories aggregating service from yahoo where stories are ranked based on users' votes, comments, emails, and searches. At moment Yahoo buzz serve worldwide in India and US only. Yahoo has also partnered with top news based portals such as Times of India, NDTV, Zee and India Today group along with news/ stories submitted by users. Moreover, stories with most 'Buzz' may be published on the Yahoo home page i.e. yahoo.com which in turn will be viewed by millions. Yahoo seems to expanding its services with attention towards India in specific as Yahoo earlier launched Yahoo Glue for India and now its BUZZ service.

PC to PC telephony is one such service that every big companies are providing it for free to its customers and companies such as Skype, Yahoo, Google, MSN and Net2Phone.com are prominent ones in India with its net telephony services, all you need is PC, headphones with mic and software (online or downloadable such as Skype). Internet Service Providers Associations of India (ISPAI) are alleging that internet companies mentioned above are eating market share of Indian companies and thats too illegaly i.e. without any licensed net telephony services. ISPs also allege that voice chat through Google, MSN and Yahoo is resulting in revenue leak for the government. Internet telephony, estimated at 200 million minutes a month in which use of illegal net telephony without valid license is estimated at 10 million minutes a month. ISPAI had alleged that an ISP licence or a unified access services licence (UASL) is required to provide Internet telephony, which these companies do not possess. However, MSN and Yahoo denies such claims by putting a point that they offer free service so levying a service tax through licencing is not an issue anymore. Yahoo! has tied up with Indian print media publisher Jagran Prakashan Ltd. to co-brand hindi portal services for India - Jaagran-Yahoo India, which offers Hindi content for Indian audience such as samachar (news), cricket, cinema, panchang, literature, sakhi, josh, and other sections in Hindi. Although Jaagran's own online version Jagran.com has more Hindi content than former one. Yahoo! has tied up with JPL (Jagran Prakashan Ltd.) under the terms of the agreement, where each will share graphical and keyword advertising revenue generated by the property with Yahoo!
