Microsoft have a plan to automatically upgrade Windows customers to the latest version of Internet Explorer available for their PCs having OS – Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Starting from January 2012 for customers in Australia and Brazil for customers who have turned on automatic updating via Windows Update. However point to be noted here is that Windows XP is not compatible to have latest version of IE i.e. IE ver.9 so how would this plan will be accomplished for Windows XP user to have latest version of IE.

As per W3C statistics of Browser market share IE (all version) has 21% of market share. Web Developers and designer always have hard time to make specific coding for each versions of IE be it 5,6,7,8 or even 9. The CSS and javascript standards that these version of IE browser follows are far different and shows drastic variation comparing to any other browsers such as Firefox, Safari or Chrome as these browsers are least effected across their versions as far as UI CSS or javascript coding is concerned.

China, South Korea, Japan and India are major areas of world that still uses IE 6 comparing to rest of the all world, however Microsoft has chosen to initiate this from Australia and Brazil as of now.

But in China, over 90% of OS software is pirated, most Chinese users never connect to Windows Update or even upgrading their web browser as they disable the automatic windows update process fearing that it would catch their pirated OS installation as under software countrfiet,  now questrion arises here how would China be off from older versions of IE browser, inspite this kind of initiative of microsoft.

More or less this initiative of Microsoft is welcomes as no matter how much it would eradicate the old web standards but still it will do it gradually, as something is better than nothing atleast the more oolder version will soon be hostiry to web users.

Moreover, the new W3C HTML5 website also lsit some of the websites which have already adopted HTML5. Microsoft has revealed the preview-only/test version of its all new Internet Explorer 9 far better than any of its earlier versions and especially because the standards IE used to follow are way back than any modern browser.  At MIX 10, a interactive gathering event of Microsoft and  innovative web professionals, Dean Hachamovitch presented the insight depth of “early look” phase of IE9.

This preview of IE9 is more targeted towards web developers/ designers to let them know and take advantage of new things they can do while developing web apps or websites.  Developers can have early look at IE 9 development here.

The prominent development and new things of Internet Explorer 9 are :

• A new JavaScript engine for IE9 which is designed to make Internet Explorer faster (faster than Firefox 3.6).
• Support for HTML5.
• IE9 now extensively support DOM, CSS3, SVG standards and XHTML.
  Able to render box-shadow, text-shadow and border-radius like CSS3 properties
• IE9 is the first browser designed to hardware accelerated graphics

Interestingly, the new JavaScript engine of IE9 is said to be faster than shipping version of Firefox today as per Webkit.org’s SunSpider benchmark test.

However, the available Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview is not be used as regular browse and it doesn’t even have a “back” button. But it released to run along with regular browser and is simply a preview and more specifically for developers/ designers so as to help them developing their web apps.

With this flash based tool users can play with visualization options such as elastic net 2D, elastic net 3D and circle 2D. Microformats are set of simple open data formats built upon existing standards that is being adopted widely these days. Its a design principles of formats which is – designed for humans first and machines second, one of the microformats principles along with modularity, embeddability and to some extent portability of information among sources using it.

One of the formats that are popular among SEOs / Webmasters or Designers are ‘rel’ tag which specifies the relevance or relationship to hyperlink. The rel-tag are used for Google algorithm purpose i.e rel=”nofollow” or “follow”, an attribute to tell search bots not to follow or to follow the link its embodied in respectively.

Technorati is among key players of Microformats in initial stage, that derived from rel=”tag” attribute widely seen and used by millions of bloggers worldwide.
