One can add this application to any Gmail account and can listen to top songs from all music genres right from your Gmail account.Discover new music everyday & maintain your musical history and can also search for songs, albums, movies by year, actor, director, song name etc.

Dhingana has already made an Orkut application on same Bollywood content in an opensocial development event at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View and had even got award for same.

To add the application in any Gmail account one has to enable one of the plugin of Gmail’s recently introduced Labs feature called as – “Add any gadget by URL” plugin, after enabling this any one can get this app by adding this URL of widget app – http://www.dhingana.com/gmail, after adding this Dhingana widget can be seen in left just above invite a friend block of Gmail dashboard.

The same has also been launched as iGoogle Gadget by Dhingana, the Google personalized home page and both of these gadgets will allow users to listen to high quality Indian & Bollywood Music right from their Gmail accounts and Google home page. Users can enjoy a complete musical experience using the full fledged canvas view in both Gmail and iGoogle.

This event was a full weekend event at the Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California and the idea was to start on Friday evening 19th Feb and completely design, build and deploy an opensocial app within 1.5 days. All the apps that would be completed would go live on Sunday evening 22nd. The sponsors, namely Google, BuddyPoke, Sun would then hold an award ceremony and declare 2 of the best app as winners and the other winner is BuddyQuiz.

More then 100 developers and entrepreneurs turned up for this event. The App Bollywood Music was highlighted as the one for it’s well designed UI, native orkut implementaion and the overall vision for the app.

The main features of the App Bollywood Music are:

• Allowing users to discover music with their frieds using the rich orkut social graph, send musical scraps to their friends,
• Dedicate songs or playlists to their friends,
• Create and share playlists (will be released in 1 week)
• Search for songs and maintain the musical history for all users,
• Mine all the musical data, from all orkut users and display the most heard songs and playlists on the application home page
