MSNBC one of most reputed digital news channel from Microsoft has lately launched a stunning visual RSS reader called Spectra News Reader, that picks news from MSNBC News channels and put in front of user to get a nice visual experience. The App has ability to make it customizable and adding some human interactivity as well.

The App Spectra let users to add news channels which in turn carry topics and all this in color combinations and designs to let users distinguish the pallets flying orbitally with headlines on it. The app as apparent is to promote the news website and to compete with the other online news websites which are way ahead than MSNBC.com.

Apart from Windows Live Writer, Windows Live OneCare that Microsoft has released earlier in this year along with other traditional services like messenger, spaces, Email service. Now Microsoft has bind all these services with all other already running services with some new features/ updates into a ‘Windows Live Services‘ package to pack them for users where they can consume these revamped and new services as “all in one” Windows Live Online services free with no extra cost.

Some of the new services in Beta, that has been officially released fro users are:

• Windows Live Calendar Beta
• Windows Live Gallery Beta
• Windows Live SkyDrive Beta

Apart from these one service new to me from Microsoft is Windows Live Events, these and more services can be downloaded free in ‘All in One’ package to get started using all of these services on web, across your multiple PCs as well as on your web-enabled mobile phones.

The two important traits of launch of revamped and all-in-one Windows Live Services are, Company’s two popular services email and IM (Instant Messaging) services now work together through windows live email, windows live hotmail and windows live messenger; and the other one is, users can share things like photos, files, stories or events stored in their PCs hard drive with people on web they wish to share via Internet as mobile.

The third most important trait or say reason for revamping and updation of Windows Live services is to push all the major services from Microsoft to Mobile 2.0 and Wap 2.0.

Internet Service Providers Associations of India (ISPAI) are alleging that internet companies mentioned above are eating market share of Indian companies and thats too illegaly i.e. without any licensed net telephony services. ISPs also allege that voice chat through Google, MSN and Yahoo is resulting in revenue leak for the government.

Internet telephony, estimated at 200 million minutes a month in which use of illegal net telephony without valid license is estimated at 10 million minutes a month.

ISPAI had alleged that an ISP licence or a unified access services licence (UASL) is required to provide Internet telephony, which these companies do not possess.

However, MSN and Yahoo denies such claims by putting a point that they offer free service so levying a service tax through licencing is not an issue anymore.

In India, companies like Skype, Vonage, Packet 8, Go2call, Lingo, Impetus, Dialpad and Net2Phone have been offering unlicenced net telephony services, which is mostly illegal. If they don’t opt for a licence the government should block them,” said ISPAI president Rajesh Chharia.

The director general, Central Excise Intelligence, has written to ISPAI, directing it to furnish the local addresses and overseas offices of firms provinding Internet telephony service, with details of revenues and major service receivers.
