Today Google has announced the Acquisition of Teracent, a California Startups that has patent pending dynamic ad optimization technology. This acquisition will help Google advertisers to get better results from their display ad campaigns running over Google Content Network and DoubleClick. The impressive dynamic ad optimization platform by Teracent customize display ads by choosing from thousands of different creative elements, automatically and in real-time, by machine-learning algorithms. The machine-algo pick and choose from thousands of creative elements of a display ad in real-time and tweak images, products, messages or colors. Even more, elements can be optimized depending on factors like geographic location, language, the content of the website, the time of day or the past performance of different ads. The total amount of acquisition is not known yet, however as apparent in Official Google Blog - the transaction is subject to various closing conditions and is expected to close this quarter.

SocialMedian, a Pune and New York based social news network has been acquired by XING, a global business & professional network, We have covered the review of SocialMedian in July this year when founder Jason Goldberg, the one who is also behind Jobster.com released SocialMedian in beta mode. Together, SocialMedian & XING will connect people with the people, information, and resources they need to get their jobs done, follow their interests, and pursue their passions. The entire socialmedian team will be joining XING as part of the acquisition. Jason will be relocating to Hamburg, where he will lead up a major new initiative for XING as VP of the XING Application Platform. In this new role, in addition to strengthening and enhancing the socialmedian service, Jason will also be responsible for managing global partnerships for application developers and content providers to connect with the XING network. In a press release, XING mentioned that it will continue to grow and enhance socialmedian as a standalone service. There will be no interruption for socialmedian users.

Kindo has been ramping up its popularity in family based social network also because of website language expansion. Kindo has just launched first social network connecting families from India in 'Hindi', after expansion of the portal in other languages as well.
