China, India and Japan are the Fastest Growing Internet Countries (Asia-Pacific)

China, India & Japan constitutes the fastest growing countries of Internet population in Asia-Pacific region, with China being the home to largest Internet audience in the world. The study report released by Comscore Inc., measured internet population accessing web from a home or work location and excluding public computers such as Internet cafes or access from mobile phones or PDAs. In September 2009, China with 220.8 million internet population showed a 31 percent increase, making it the fastest-growing Internet country in the region. Japan 68.3 million online population showed 18 percent increase, and India with 35.8 million users online showed 17 percent increase from last year, however when it comes to figure its just around 5k users increment in Indian online audience. India is Top Global market for Google Sites: Comscore Report

India has been identified as Top Global internet market by Google Sites’ in terms of share of time spent on Google owned sites in July 2009 by comScore Inc., a digital marketing intelligence company. In India 28.9 percent of total time spent online was spent on Google owned sites such as Gmail, Orkut, Blogger, Picassa, etc.. India stands just after Brazil which is at top with 29.8% share of time spent on Google sites. Google Sites ranked as the most visited Internet property worldwide with 854 million unique visitors age 15 and older in July, an increase of 18-percent during the past year. Nearly 75 percent of all Internet users worldwide visited the Google Sites property, which accounted for 9.4 percent of all time spent online. Nearly one out of every ten minutes a person spends online around the world is spent on a Google site. In India, Google Sites accounted for 88.4 percent of all searches conducted, and had commanding share of time spent in social networking with Orkut (68.2 percent), maps with Google Maps (63.9 percent), multimedia with YouTube (82.8 percent).
