In a major step towards the alliance of two big internet companies - Microsoft & Yahoo, they announced that they have received clearance for their search agreement, without restrictions, from both the U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission, and will now turn their attention to beginning the process of implementing the deal and the deal which is considered as more of united alliance of two major competitors of Google so as to consolidate their resource as one and start work to give real tough fight to Google. Implementation of the deal is expected to begin in the coming days with transitioning Yahoo!’s algorithmic and paid search platforms to Microsoft and Microsoft adCenter will be the platform for all search campaigns. Yahoo will be the exclusive relationship sales force for both companies’ premium search advertisers. The alliance will start working in atleast US by the end of this year combined into a new unified search marketplace, with audience of nearly 577 million searchers worldwide.

Google has just unveiled a Android based Super phone called - Nexus One phone and India being one among unsupported countries. however people residing in India may psychologically satisfy themselves watching the Inetractive demo , 3D Tour or videos of Nexus One phone until it arrives in India as there is not any mention via Google of how, why and when it will arrive in India. The Google super phone will be available only in US, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. Noticeably unlike to Apple iPhone Google Nexus is "Unlocked" GSM phone sold and shipped by Google only. Moreover, unavailability of 3G Mobile technology in India could be strong reason for Nexus phone unavailability, as at present its with BSNL only. Ironically, countries like UK had already made trials of next generation 4G mobile broadband technology. Question - Why Google didn't approach BSNL? as its also 3G and GSM phone operator in India. In a recent controversy over the Advertisements that Google shows up in search results, Indian politician and Rajya Sabha member Brinda Karat demanded to Ban "Google India" and arrest of the chief of Google India over showing the advertisements of prenatal gender determination or preconception sex selection and thus violating laws of India under the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT) Act. In response to Brinda's allegation, Google India says - "In India, we do not allow ads for the promotion of prenatal gender determination or preconception sex selection. Today, on 26th November, Google had a an Event at its Gurgaon Office for Adsense Publishers called Google Adsense UnPlugged the main objectives for the event as apparent was to educate, train the publishers on how to earn from Adsense effectively and intelligently. The event had 6 sessions - 1. Channels & Reports 2. Tools, Features & Health of Adsense Accounts 3. Ad Formats and other Products (Adsense for content, for Feeds, for mobile etc.) 4. Placements & Positions 5. Google Ad Manager (GAM) 6. Google Analytics (w.r.t Adsense) Two very interesting things I was unaware of, was - Google place high paying Ads which reside on top of your HTML Source code of webpage Preferably, Do not chose either - 'Text Ads only' or 'Image Ads only' options, because if option Text & Image Ads (default) is chosen adsense will put only one that outbid the other, so in the end you get more money. The event was great for me and i was actually charmed by the way Google Adsense Team treated us, it was awesome experience. We were also being given certificates after all completing all the sessions.
