Invest India, an investment promotion and facilitation agency of the Government of India has tied up with Reliance Group’s IOT venture UNLIMIT to launch the first-ever Internet of Things (IoT) contest — interThrone, the contest aims to provide a platform to ideate, create and make the best use of the Internet and connected devices.
Apart from Invest India, Interthrone is the result of a strategic partnership of Reliance’s UNLIMIT with the Sardar Patel Institute of Technology and iB-Hubs.
The contest will feature five categories in three stages (Ideation, Concept & Research and Prototype) and will run over a period of six months.
The interested team has to has to register on the official interThrone portal and give details along with document of IoT Idea — which could be under categories of connected homes, smart villages, FinTech, Public transport, an start-up — in the format of given by interThrone.
interThrone will also play an incubator role for young turks and technocrats to participate and build their IoT businesses under the guidance of industry experts and stalwarts. The contest will also involve institutional and individual investors, who will evaluate the submitted ideas and invest in the winning projects.
Students affiliated to any university in India and Startups whose age would be less than 1 years by Jan 13, 2017.
Qualified participants/teams would be assigned Industry experts as mentor. Work with the mentors to create a working prototype and make a presentation and video showcasing their work.
Teams will compete with opponents from all over India. Students will compete with students and startups will be competing with startups.
Important Dates & Deadlines –
Contest will be starting from Jan 18, 2017. It will be 6 months long contest with different stages. In each stage candidates will be shortlisted.
