YouTube is really going to be at the top of video sharing and broadcasting world. It is looking all set to mark the beginning of video revolution. Recently it has completed just 5 years and it has crossed the milestone of more than 2 billion full video views, which is a remarkable achievement.
As YouTube is growing big, and getting more ambitious with unbounded ambition. It is envy of people sticking to their television sets for longer.
Excerpt from Official YouTube blog:
Over time, these aspirations have created a vibrant and inspiring community that helped transform a murmur of interest into something far greater than any of us ever could have imagined. Today, thanks to you, our site has crossed another milestone: YouTube exceeds over two billion views a day. That’s nearly double the prime-time audience of all three major U.S. television networks combined.
But we do know there’s a lot more to be done. For instance, we want to make it even easier for you to sort through and find the videos that matter to you. Although the average user spends 15 minutes a day on YouTube, that’s tiny compared to the five hours a day people spend watching TV. Clearly, we need to give you more reason to watch more videos! And we want to give you all the tools and support to make YouTube both your career and your community. After all, this is only the beginning of the video revolution. We’re just getting started.
The above lines are clearly bubbling up with strong ambition. Though there will be some obstacle in its journey of development to provide similar experience as of TV.
The video length can be the hindrance, as it wouldn’t be enough for people to watch short 3-5 minutes video clips in spite of watching full serials and movies. Moreover, the worldwide internet connection may not be so capable of watching live streaming videos.
The Ubiquitous YouTube has plans to come up soon with the “no browsing-no searching-no clicking” sort of interface with an uncluttered look. It is expected that the new interface will provide comfortable living room experience which would be closer to TV.
It would be very difficult for now to predict the exact features of what YouTube is planning as its all Google’s game now. But it’s almost sure that soon YouTube is coming up with its new uncluttered interface which could be further enhanced to provide the similar experience as of TV.
