Wikipedia Now on your Mobiles

Wikipedia today has launched its Mobile version as – http://mobile.wikipedia.org in order to keep the pace up with mobile 2.0 era, Wikipedia.org has been named as most visited website across the globe.

Needless to say Wikipedia has strive to keep its mobile version as simple and optimized for even most basic version of mobiles handsets and less cluttered with images and graphics.

Wikipedia is a free content encyclopedia written by a global community of volunteers and offer the content in different languages, starting from now onwards it will host content on mobile as well which believed to be more accessible device than a computer as far as masses are concerned.

The Wikipedia mobile version also offers a feature called ‘Spoken Wikipedia’, which will give some practical use of the nearly 800 spoken articles on the site.
