Seedfund, an early stage VC fund that came up in news since october 2007 when it funded AgencyFaqs, now Seedfund is planning to raise fund of US $15 million for 15 new technology driven startups in India.

This would be second round of fundings of Seedfund, as the first round & previous portfolio companies comprises – AgencyFaqs, redbus.in, CarWale.com, uhooro.com and Vaatsalya.com. Noticeably, most of the startups are from college passouts or youngsters which is good sign for Indian Startups enthusiast and young entrepreneurs’s talent in India.

Till date, name of the startups in which Seedfund would be putting in its second round of fundings is unknown, though the company will encourage idea driven startups and not necessarily capital intensive. The company is confident about raising funds despite of global slowdown that is prevailing at moment.

Previously, Seedfund’s investors include Google, Reliance ADA and US VC funds i.e. Sierra Ventures and Mayfield, however this round of fund raising investors are kept undisclosed though speculated that it will be same as previous ones on board.
