Momail, acclaimed as world’s smallest mobile email, has today launched its entry into the Indian market with its popular mobile email product that helps you begin accessing your existing e-mail accounts on your mobile phone.

The site for Momail India is now open for up to 1,00,000 beta testers and they can sign up at www.momail.in using the password momailrox.

The Momail offer is perfect for a market like India with an ever increasing interest in mobile technology compared with a relatively low pc penetration. Momail’s service includes a full email offering, and for many Indians, only having a mobile for their communication, Momail will be their first way to use email including having their first email address. For Indians already using email, Momail can be the “mobile postman” collecting all existing email accounts, including Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail, and local ISP mail into one super inbox on the mobile.

“We have had a lot of interest from India and now we are happy to offer Momail for free for a number of beta testers. Our plan is to open Momail for all Indians before Christmas, so soon all users with an email capable mobile will be able to enjoy the world’s smallest, smartest and most cost-effective mobile email,” says Roger Grönberg, CEO of Momail.

Momail mobile email on the Indian market;

  • Ease of use – Momail is very easy to start and to use, and there is no need for special client software or downloads. All email and data settings are automatically configured by Momail.

  • No tolerance of spam - Included is world class mobile spam and virus protection (IronPort).
  • Outstanding device support – Being the market leader Momail supports over 1100 different models, covering most of mobiles delivered.

    Interesting concept. However, checking mails in mobile is not new in India. I have been checking mails on my cell through Vodafone homepage from quite some time. But a consolidated inbox with all mails in one account will definitely help.
