RSSChikka 2.0 – Two way PC to Mobile Phone Messaging

Chikka Inc., a company known for delivery of Mobile content and enhanced mobile messaging has brought a service to enable Asian users send two way messaging i.e. from their PC to mobile phones and vice versa. Users can register to avail services like – messaging to buddy/ friends list in their IM (messengers) like – Yahoo!, AIM, MSN, ICQ and the recent one is Google Talk.
A user can even send messages if they don’t have a mobile phone or if their mobile operator is currently not available. People can make a unified Chikka ID to send messages to buddies list in their respective IMs as if they are sent through their mobile numbers, through Chikka ID you could also forward messages while away to your mobile phones.
In their future plans site will also allow the delivery of mobile content and mobile call credits which would be directly accessed from the web. Chikka 2.0 will also support social networking and user-generated content (UGC), to bring about web 2.0 traits in its services through which Users will be able to set-up personal profiles, upload photos and videos, or blog within their Chikka profile page.
Though unified account (phone-to-PC) is not yet available in India, Indian users can avail PC-only account and download chikka messenger to send SMS to phones and IMs.
Indiatimes.com is also seems to paving way throught Chikka as when i tried to send message to my own mobile phone than by default Chikka messenger’s PC-to-phone sms are being sent via Indiatimes messenger, you can also download Chikka messenger version 4 by Indiatimes.com from – http://indiatimes.chikka.com
Chikka messaging service is available on nearly all major mobile service provider incuding Hutch, Airtel, BSNL, Reliance etc. Chikka mobile & wireless apps are currently deployed through network of over 50 Mobile carriers in countries including India.

Sometimes Chikka doesnot work. I have tried it many times with BSNL it goes off

chikka doesn’t work with airtel number starting with 986760….. . If you try to send sms to 9198676067…. it says we are upgrading our system plz bear with us .

chikka is not able to send sms to bsnl, vsnl, mtnl 8 digit nos and on airtel no starting from +91 9867 .

Chikka doesnt work anymore- it did work for a while well– all these free sms from pc to mobile is all hogwash- may be its a way to entice people initially and then it all goes kaput. so much for these freebies.

chikka is a good software but sometimes it doesn’t work..
I hope that its problems will be fixed soon

why i’m having a hard time in downloading for a chikka installer… but i agree that chikka works great here in the phil.

If sometimes it doesnt work you’ve probably reached the daily limit of 30 SMS messages a day. Anyway, if you’re still have technical problems here’s a link to the software’s manual;
